I've travelled al lot this year so I had to little time to quilt. But I am bag again and I have find the way bag to creativity. The first assignment was to make a start quilt for the A-Texere group. This is the new name for our Quilten-Speciaal group. Were I met Wil, Mia and Ine. When it started to grow in my mind I must think of the beginning of the world. Before the continents are seperated there was one continent named Pangea. The world was very differend then en I like to play with my imagination in this strange world. So I join the 2 assignments.

I put a little space between all the parts of the world and around the whole Pangea I have punched with silk to give an accent. All the words are translations of start of beginning in differend languages.

This is a picture of "Pangea". I found this picture on the internet.

Corinne!! That is absolutely amazing and so interesting! Great job! What do you mean when you say you "punched" the silk? It is not a technique I am familiar with but it sounds interesting. Would you care to share it?

OH wait!! I just re-read your post about the silk and I think I understand it better now. You added "punch" (or accent) WITH the silk - not punching the silk. LOL! Now that makes sense. But, darn, I thought there was a new technique out there!!
